Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) warned Jane Fonda that the Capitol Police will be paying her a visit shortly over her recent controversial comments about murdering pro-life politicians on The View.
Luna said: “Unfortunately, for Ms. Fonda, Capitol Police takes this issue very seriously, as do I and many of my pro-life Republican colleagues so I’m sure the Capitol Police will be investigating and she will be having to answer for her comments.”
She said she has already received threats: “The individual that made this comment actually posted it under her video of The View, saying that the only good conservative and Trump supporter was a dead one,” she said about one threat.
She said of The View: “They are supposed to pride themselves on being a show that promotes women viewpoints, right?
“Yeah, if you are pro-life, they want to essentially promote someone that’s calling for your murder.
“For people to go on national news outlets and make these calls of violence simply because they don’t like the fact that we are taking stands to protect life, these people are unhinged.”
Fonda said after a massive backlash:
“While women’s reproductive rights are a very serious issue and extremely important to me, my comment on The View was obviously made in jest.
“My body language and tone made it clear to those in the room – and to anyone watching – that I was using hyperbole to make a point.
“Women across the country are facing real threats when it comes to our bodies, and people lose faith in our mission to protect women when others choose to focus on tangential issues and passing jokes instead of the actual problem at hand,” Hanoi Jane said.
Hanoi Jane was also reported to the FBY by Majorie Taylor Greene.
Greene said: “Jane Fonda (and many Democrats) want you and me “murdered” for fighting to protect the most innocent in the womb.
“Believe Democrats when they say the quiet part out loud. Sounds like they want us dead. The @FBI and @TheJusticeDept have targeted Pro-Life protestors for praying outside of abortion clinics.
“They better step up and hold @Janefonda and @TheView accountable for calling for the murder of Pro-Life Politicians like me. I will not be voting to fund the FBI and DOJ.
“Unapologetic Pro-Life Politician here. I routinely get death threats because of the nasty women on The View and the things they say about me.
“But calling for us to be assassinated makes The View, the hosts, the producers, the network, the advertisers, and everyone involved responsible for death threats, attacks, and potential murders of Pro-Life politicians and activists. I am reporting this.
