Fox News Put Hollywood On Notice, Crowns Greg Gutfeld The New King Of Late Night In Super Bowl Commercial

Fox News is putting Hollywood on notice and crowning Greg Gutfeld the new king of late night in two commercials that will air during the Super Bowl.

A 10-second commercial and a 15-second commercial will air during the big game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles this weekend. 

In the ad, Gutfeld is joined by regular panelists Kat Timpf and George “Tyrus” Murdoch as well as his dog Gus. As taping begins for the commercial touting Gutfeld as the “new king of late night,” props are moved away and taping abruptly ends since Super Bowl ads “are pricey” amid various humorous moments. 

Gutfeld! launched in 2021 and was an immediate hit.

It delivered its most-watched year ever in 2022 and became the first late-night show to unseat CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in viewers since 2017.

Gutfeld! was the number-one late-night show from August to December 2022.   

In 2022, Gutfeld! had nearly 30% of the late-night audience share. Gutfeld! finished 2022 as the second most-watched host on late-night television.

The late-night program averaged 2,040,000 viewers (+28%) and 342,000 (+12%) in the advertiser-coveted demo of adults aged 25-54.

Greg beat NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! in viewers. 

So far in 2023 Greg’s hit show is America’s second highest-rated late-night host, averaging nearly 2 million viewers and 306,000 in the A25-54 demo.

According to Fox News:

Gutfeld! continued to surpass a number of broadcast late-night programs for the month, besting ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! (1,554,000 P2+) and NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon (1,372,000 P2+) in total viewers.

In cable, FNC’s late-night show swept Comedy Central’s The Daily Show (340,000 P2+, 119,000 A25-54) across the board in total viewers, the 25-54 demo and 18-49.

Airing at 11 PM/ET, the program topped every show on CNN and MSNBC as well with both viewers and A25-54.
