Lauren Boebert Puts Nancy Pelosi Out To Pasture: “Waiting this long for election results is going to make firing Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House that much sweeter”

Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colo., continues to lead her race for reelection but it is coming down to the wire.  The latest numbers show Boebert with a 1,122-vote lead over Democrat Adam Frisch in Colorado’s 3rd District with 95% of the votes counted.

Republicans needed one more seat to claim a House majority in the next Congress but every single expert says the Dems have no path to keep control of the House. So it would be fitting if Boebert is the deciding vote.

“We’re still in this fight. Just in a holding pattern.  As ballots continue to be counted, we continue to feel proud of where we stand and what we’ve accomplished,” Frisch said.

Boebert answered with the line of the night: “Waiting this long for election results is going to make firing Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House that much sweeter.”

According to the Washington Examiner:

Votes are still being counted and, in some cases, “cured” – a process by which voters are provided an opportunity to fix ballots initially rejected due to problems (e.g. missing signatures).

Voters have until Wednesday to cure their ballot.

…The process of curing a ballot involves voters taking their ballot that was initially rejected due to problems that include, as noted by Newsweek, a missing signature or signature discrepancy and then matching a signature on file or providing identification in some cases. 

Clerks are waiting to process a small number of ballots including ones from military and overseas residents with the cured ballots.

Around 5,000 ballots remain uncounted or in transit, according to estimates.
