White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki went on Pod Save America, a podcast hosted by former Obama aides Jon Favreau, Jon Lovett, Dan Pfeiffer, and Tommy Vietor, and took a few swipes at Fox News and Peter Doocy.
Psaki and Doocy frequently go back and forth at press briefings with their interactions often going viral. She was asked by the hosts if “Peter Doocy is a stupid son of a b*tch or does he just play one on TV?”
Psaki said: “He works for a network that provides people with questions that, nothing personal to any individual including Peter Doocy, but might make anyone sound like a stupid son of a bitch.”
On Biden going to Ukraine she said:
“He’s ready for anything.
The man likes the fast cars and aviators. He’s ready to go to Ukraine. It’s true he does.
But she said he is not going, “We are not sending the president to Ukraine,
“That is not in the plans for the president of the United States
“We should all be maybe relieved about that.”
In late January, Biden was caught on a hot mic calling Doocy a ‘stupid son of a b*tch.”
“Do you think inflation is a political liability in the midterms?” Doocy asked.
“No, it’s a great asset,” Biden said, before saying “More inflation. What a stupid son of a b*tch.”
Doocy said Biden called him after the hot mic video went viral.
Doocy said:
“After years of clips of the president and kind of mixing it up on the campaign trail and during the transition, and here at the White House, within about an hour of that exchange, he called my cell phone and he said, “It’s nothing personal, pal.”
“And we went back and forth and we were talking bout just kind of moving forward and I made sure to tell him that I’m always going to try to ask something different than what everybody else is asking.
“ And he said, “You’ve got to.”
“And that’s a quote from the president. So I’ll keep doing it.”
Jen Psaki is asked if “Peter Doocy is a stupid son of a bitch or does he just play one on tv:”
