There was a “red-pill” moment that unfolded during Monday Night Football.
I’m sure WOKE NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell nearly had a coronary when he saw it.
It actually wasn’t anything “radical” or crazy, but to the left, it was probably akin to domestic terrorism.
Green Bay Packers Quarterback Aaron Rogers appeared on Payton and Eli Manning’s Monday Night Football show and discussed a book he was reading called Atlas Shrugged.
It’s a book that is very popular in conservative circles
Here’s what Wikipedia says about Atlas Shrugged:
Atlas Shrugged is a 1957 novel by Ayn Rand. Her fourth and final novel, it was also her longest, and the one she considered to be her magnum opus in the realm of fiction writing.[1] Atlas Shrugged includes elements of science fiction, mystery, and romance, and it contains Rand’s most extensive statement of Objectivism in any of her works of fiction. The theme of Atlas Shrugged, as Rand described it, is “the role of man’s mind in existence”. The book explores a number of philosophical themes from which Rand would subsequently develop Objectivism. In doing so, it expresses the advocacy of reason, individualism, and capitalism, and depicts what Rand saw to be the failures of governmental coercion.
The book depicts a dystopian United States in which private businesses suffer under increasingly burdensome laws and regulations. Railroad executive Dagny Taggart and her lover, steel magnate Hank Rearden, struggle against “looters” who want to exploit their productivity. Dagny and Hank discover that a mysterious figure called John Galt is persuading other business leaders to abandon their companies and disappear as a strike of productive individuals against the looters. The novel ends with the strikers planning to build a new capitalist society based on Galt’s philosophy of reason and individualism.
Atlas Shrugged received largely negative reviews after its 1957 publication, but achieved enduring popularity and ongoing sales in the following decades. The novel has been cited as an influence on a variety of libertarian and conservative thinkers and politicians. After several unsuccessful attempts to adapt the novel for film or television, a film trilogy based on it was released from 2011 to 2014, and two theatrical adaptations have also been staged.

The left is acting like this was literally a terrorist act, and they want the book banned… you know, to “stop” fascism.
“Atlas Shrugged is a piece of literature that has been widely read for decades, but its extremist political message is very troubling to most people. It shouldn’t be troubling that Rogers has read it or has a copy of it. It is troubling that he apparently agrees with its message.”
“This guy is a monster”
“People like him are destroying this country, one evil book at a time”
“It’s bad literature: the prose is awful, the plot predictably bland, and the characters are pure strawmen It’s bad philosophy: nobody older than 15 thinks selfishness is a good ideology or that anyone has ever accomplished something purely alone.”
“He made it a point to call that book out specifically, just like his COVID status lie and the fact he believes ivermectin works.”
“Every copy of this filthy book should be rounded up and burned”
Ban books to stop fascism… makes sense, doesn’t it?
