MILTON, FL – A 33-year-old man was arrested earlier in November after allegedly being caught in the act of “humping” another man’s dog, then attacking the dog’s owner after being confronted for the alleged degenerate act.
According to the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office, 33-year-old John Miller was charged with domestic violence-battery, domestic violence-aggravated assault, and criminal mischief after a string of events that purportedly kicked off with him “humping” a dog turned violent.
On November 11th, Miller was reportedly caught getting a little too frisky with a dog, which led to the dog’s owner confronting him over the disturbing act. The victim told authorities that Miller had then attacked him in response – punching him in the head and upper body that caused some cuts and bruising.
The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office stated that the victim claimed Miller to break various items inside the home and destroyed the garage door. Miller also allegedly retrieved a knife from inside the home and threatened to kill the victim, leaving the victim and his mother in fear for their life.
As of this writing, Miller is sitting inside the Santa Rosa County Jail with his bond set at $7,000.

In other news regarding the infamous “Florida Man” world of crimes in the Sunshine State, a 35-year-old man was sentenced to two years in prison in Miami earlier in November for collecting nearly $1 million in COVID relief funds and submitting over 100 fraudulent applications for himself and others.
On November 17th, 35-year-old Leonel Rivero was sentenced in a Miami federal court after previously pleading guilty to wire fraud. He used his tax-preparation business to exploit the Paycheck Protection Program and fraudulently submitted 118 applications to the COVID relief program.
Said program, commonly referred to as the PPP, was instituted in the midst of the pandemic back in 2020 that was geared toward dispersing forgivable small-business loans to help keep small-businesses afloat during the economic uncertainty transpiring during 2020.
On top of the two years in prison, Rivero must also pay over $1 million in restitution for the fraudulently obtained funds.
