You heard the verdict, you hugged your friends, and you wondered what was next for the kid from Antioch who the enemy has been crusading to kill.
The truth is this case should have never been tried, and the trial was an example of the dangerous climate that some politicians, and most media, have been conjuring with deviously crafted lies about the race of the assailants and actions of the brave teen.
For Kyle, he experienced two life-changing events, the witch-hunt trial, and the chilling experience of taking life. Both have visibly impacted him, and neither will leave him for the rest of his life.
And that life, that he can now live free from prison, is the subject of the true victory, for the jury’s decision salvaged more than justice, but years with his loving mother, his future wife, and hopefully, a car full of kids.
The only thing that would be a more poetic end to this gunfighter’s ballad, would have been the judge stopping Kyle as he was leaving the courtroom and saying,” Hey kid, you’re forgetting something” as he hands him back his AR-15 and wishes him luck in his next fight against evil.
When it comes to the right to self-defense, we are ALL Kyle Rittenhouse, and the forces of chaos would be smart to recognize the verdict given, and the repercussions served.
