Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) was hit with four more fines this week for refusing to comply with the House mask mandate.
The four fines stem from incidents that took place from late September to early October, and they are the latest in the mask violations that Greene has racked up that amount to at least $48,000 in fines.
“Over the past year and a half, Communist Democrats have ruled our country as tyrannical dictators with mandates and lockdowns,” Greene told Fox News. “Now, the American people have had enough and are standing up against these outrageous and unconstitutional policies. I will continue my stand on the House floor against authoritarian Democrat mandates, because I don’t want the American people to stand alone.”
This comes one week after Greene told USA Today that she would “continue my stand on the House floor against authoritarian Democrat mandates, because I don’t want the American people to stand alone.” She then compared Democratic lawmakers to “tyrannical dictators with mandates and lockdowns” amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Earlier this year, Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) called House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) “a moron” for saying that the House mask mandate was not based on science.
“Well, if she’s so brilliant. Can she tell me where the science in the building changes between the House and the Senate?” McCarthy fired back. “Can she explain to me when the CDC says only vaccinated people need to wear a mask in hotspots? So it’s a lot of questions. If she knows so much science, explain to me where the science changes in the rotunda.”
This also comes months after Greene apologized for comparing masks to the Holocaust.
WASHINGTON — Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene apologized Monday for affronting people with recent comments comparing the required wearing of safety masks in the House to the horrors of the Holocaust.

“One of the best lessons that my father always taught me was when you make a mistake you should own it,” she said, according to the BBC. “And I have a made a mistake and it’s really bothered me for a couple of weeks now and so I definitely want to own it.
“There is no comparison to the Holocaust,” she added. “And there are words that I have said and remarks that I have made that I know are offensive and for that I want to apologize. If we’re going to lead, we need to be able to lead in a way where if we’ve messed up it’s very important for us to say we’re sorry.”
