According to reports, the People for Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) are among those now calling for Dr. Anthony Fauci’s resignation from the National Institutes of Health, along with all other NIH leadership, amid the revelations that the NIH funded disturbing experiments that tortured beagles.
On November 4th, At The Mic Show’s Keith Malinak tweeted to PETA on whether they were among those demanding that Dr. Fauci resigns from the NIH.

“Dear [PETA], did you visit Congress today to demand the resignation of Dr. Anthony Fauci the way [Rand Paul] did? (America figured beagles being tortured to death would be in your wheelhouse, but we’re only seeing tweets on your feed today about fashion and baseball “arm barns.”).”
In response to the tweet, PETA replied that their “position is clear. ALL those in leadership at NIH, including Fauci, should resign.”

PETA’s senior vice president for laboratory investigations, Kathy Guillermo, said that it’s time for Dr. Fauci to “get out of the way” of more well-equipped scientists who won’t needlessly harm animals and waste taxpayers money.
“Anthony Fauci and all the NIH directors have defended a cruel, archaic system for far too long. It’s time for them to get out of the way and let modern scientists take over. They’ve known for at least a decade that torturing dogs, monkeys, and other animals is delaying treatments and cures for humans, but they continually defend the status quo — at the cost of millions of animal lives and billions of tax dollars.”
Back in October, we at Red Voice Media shared a report detailing some of the cruel experiments being conducted under NIH funding, which resulted in lawmakers – both Democrats and Republicans – calling out Dr. Fauci and demanding that such practices cease.
The details of such experiments were unearthed by the White Coat Waste Project, noting the hundreds of thousands of dollars spent to torture beagles.
“Our investigators show that Fauci’s NIH division shipped part of a $375,800 grant to a lab in Tunisia to drug beagles and lock their heads in mesh cages filled with hungry sandflies so that the insects could eat them alive.
They also locked beagles alone in cages in the desert overnight for nine consecutive nights to use them as bait to attract infectious sand flies.”
