FLORIDA – According to reports, the Biden administration has been orchestrating somewhat clandestine flights from the southern border into Florida, transporting migrants into the state over the past few months on over 70 flights collectively.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ public safety czar, Larry Keefe, disclosed the estimated number of flights coming into the state earlier in November.
“Over 70 air charter flights [on] jetliner airliners coming from the southwest border have landed at Jacksonville International Airport. On average, there’s 36 passengers on each of these flights. And that has been going on over the course of the summer through September.”
According to Keefe, the Department of Justice, Department of Homeland Security, and Department of Health and Human Services are remaining tight-lipped on who exactly is overseeing these flights into Florida and where exactly these migrants are being transported after landing.
“We’re in a sad situation of trying to run an investigation. Who is facilitating this travel? How are they getting here? Who are the support people? Who are the sponsors?”
Keefe noted that he’s unsure why Jacksonville International is being chosen to offload these migrants, additionally venting his frustrations over having to effectively “spy” on the government to get to the bottom of what’s going on in the state.
“We don’t know definitively or specifically as to why Jacksonville is the chosen place. [We’re] having to watch and observe — in effect, spy on the government to see what it is that they’re doing in the middle of the night out of these airport facilities.”
Governor DeSantis recently commented on the matter, making reference to the 24-year-old illegal immigrant arrested earlier in early October for murder who duped border authorities months earlier while posing as a 17-year-old while illegally entering the country.
“There was an individual who had posed as a 17-year-old, actually was in the mid-20s, brought here, had been here, ended up committing a murder. And so now this individual has been detained, should have never been in this country to begin with, and definitely should not have been dumped in the state of Florida.”
“And so these are middle of the night flights, no, no notification to the state or anybody. And this is not the way you keep people safe, it’s reckless, and it’s wrong. And I’m going to ask the legislature to see what can we do to make sure that they can’t just do this with impunity, because these are private contractors the federal government’s hiring, coming in, you know, if you’re bringing in problems like that, then I think we have to reevaluate, you know, what you’re able to do business-wise in the state of Florida.”
