A spokesman for Democratic Virginia gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe is being ripped over “racist” tweets including a slang version of the ‘N-word.’
Renzo Olivari, who has also worked on the Joe Biden and Kamala Harris presidential campaigns, was busted for tweets sent in 2012 that have since been deleted.
“#TweetLikeAGuy going out with da nigguhs,” said one of the tweets.
“#ThingsBlackFolksNeverThrowAway broken lamps,” said another.

“Terry McAuliffe’s comms guy kinda sounds like a racist,” GOP operative Arthur Schwartz posted on Twitter along with screengrabs of the offending tweets from Olivari.

“[email protected] Come get your comms guy. He’s showing his ass and embarrassing you,” noted Donald Trump Jr. in a tweet that contained another screenshot of a different Olivari tweet that said: “Are you black? #SomethingIGetAlot Hahahahah.”

The new scandal comes just days before Tuesday’s gubernatorial election and at a time when GOP challenger Glenn Youngkin is either tied with McAuliffe — who led big in the early stages of the race — to pulling ahead, depending on the survey cited.
“No Republican has won a statewide race in Virginia since 2009 and Joe Biden won the state in the 2020 presidential election,” Conservative Brief reported on Friday, adding: “Despite Biden campaigning for McAuliffe, Republican candidate Glenn Youngkin has burst ahead in a recent poll just five days before the election.”
Fox News reported:
Among the larger pool of registered voters, it’s a one-point race: McAuliffe 47 percent vs. Youngkin 48 percent. Two weeks ago, McAuliffe led among registered voters by 11 points, 52-41 percent.
What changed? GOP enthusiasm. The race is largely focused on education and this has energized Republicans, as 79 percent of Youngkin supporters are “extremely” interested in the election compared to 69 percent of McAuliffe supporters.
Democratic pollster Chris Anderson was waving a red flag.
“With the race essentially tied among the full registered voter universe, McAuliffe could still pull this off,” says Anderson, who conducts the Fox News survey along with Republican Daron Shaw. “But it would take something big to ignite enthusiasm for McAuliffe’s candidacy and a massively effective get out the vote effort.”
Meanwhile, the network added:
Youngkin promises to ban the teaching of critical race theory on his first day in office, while McAuliffe denies CRT is even taught in Virginia schools. In addition, McAuliffe is still explaining his comment in the final debate that parents shouldn’t “be telling schools what they should teach.”
The survey, released Thursday, finds movement in the views of parents. They backed McAuliffe by 10 points two weeks ago. Now, they go for Youngkin by 14. On the question of which candidate they trust to handle education, Youngkin’s previous 1-point edge among parents has widened to 12.
Among parents, Youngkin has dads to thank. Moms back him by just two points overall, and they trust both candidates equally on education. For dads, those numbers are +23 and +21 for Youngkin respectively.
Another scandal that broke late this week involves the use of ‘racist’ actors by the anti-Republican Lincoln Project which was initially formed by former GOP operatives who opposed then-President Donald Trump.
Five men dressed in khaki pants and white collared shirts holding tiki torches to replicate white supremacists who protested the removal of a Confederate monument in Charlottesville, Va, in 2018 which resulted in clashes and one death. The men stood in front of a Youngkin campaign bus and were photographed by a local reporter.
“These men approached @GlennYoungkin’s bus as it pulled up saying what sounded like, ‘We’re all in for Glenn.’ Here they are standing in front of the bus as his campaign event at Guadalajara started,” NBC 28 reporter Elizabeth Holmes noted on Twitter with a photo of the men dressed like those at the Unite The Right rally.
“The Unite the Right rally was one of the darkest days in the Commonwealth’s history. this is who Glenn Youngkin’s supporters are,” Christina Freundlich, a spokesperson for the Democrat, said in a tweet that has since been deleted.
The stunt was denounced by McAuliffe.
