Photos and videos coming out of Afghanistan on Monday morning show large crowds of people running in front of U.S. military cargo planes that were taking off, with many in videos shown clutching onto the wheels and engines of aircraft as they take off.
In some videos, disturbing scenes show what appears to be people falling to their deaths from cargo planes whilst in flight.
In footage shared on social media, US military helicopters circled around a C-7 Aircraft as it attempted to take flight from the runway while hundreds of Afghan civilians scrambled to prevent its departure.
In the footage that followed, disturbing footage appears to show flailing bodies dropping from the aircraft hundreds of feet in the air.
Local reports from Kabul-based media claim that three young men “were holding themselves tightly in the tires of an airplane and fell on top of people’s houses.”
“One of the locals confirmed this and said that the fall of these people made a loud and terrifying noise,” the report added.
Reports from Newsweek, the Daily Mail, and Hareetz, reported that the people did indeed fall from the airplanes after thousands of Afghans amassed at Kabul’s airport to flee from Taliban forces who took over the city hours before.

The Wall Street Journal reported on Monday that the collapse of the Afghan military was precipitated by the withdrawal of US forces under the instructions of President Joe Biden, who also withdrew U.S. air support upon which the military relied upon.
The Afghan army fighting alongside American troops was molded to match the way the Americans operate. The U.S. military, the world’s most advanced, relies heavily on combining ground operations with air power, using aircraft to resupply outposts, strike targets, ferry the wounded, and collect reconnaissance and intelligence.
In the wake of President Biden’s withdrawal decision, the U.S. pulled its air support, intelligence and contractors servicing Afghanistan’s planes and helicopters. That meant the Afghan military simply couldn’t operate anymore. The same happened with another failed American effort, the South Vietnamese army in the 1970s, said retired Lt. Gen. Daniel Bolger, who commanded the U.S.-led coalition’s mission to train Afghan forces in 2011-2013.
Previously reported by Conservative Brief, Biden rejected the advice of military generals ahead of the planned withdrawal.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Biden met with several heads of the armed forces to discuss the withdrawal of American forces from the Central Asian nation, which has been under U.S. occupation for around two decades. The meeting happened ahead of Biden’s announcement of his intent to have the United States leave the country entirely.
The generals recommended that Biden leave behind a force of 2,500 servicemen in Afghanistan and negotiate with Taliban for a peace deal. Biden reportedly rejected their advice.
As the withdrawal in Afghanistan descends further into chaos, documents obtained by a Fox News correspondent confirm that the Department of Defense is preparing to relocate upwards of 30,000 Afghan refugees by allowing Afghan SIV applicants to be moved to temporary housing locations while being vetted for parolee status.
“We want to have capacity to get up to several thousand immediately, and want to be prepared for potential of tens of thousands. Bliss & McCoy have capability right now – what’s advantageous is w/ a bit of work, could increase in short order,” reported Fox News correspondent Jacqui Heinrich.
Heinrich reported on Twitter that Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said: “We want to have capacity to get up to several thousand immediately, and want to be prepared for potential of tens of thousands. Bliss & McCoy have capability right now – what’s advantageous is w/ a bit of work, could increase in short order.”
