The CDC adjusted its coronavirus count for the state of Florida after the Health Department in Tallahassee said the original figures were inaccurately inflated. The confusion came as the Biden administration and his PR arm – the mainstream media – attack Florida over mask mandates and other COVID-related issues.
The state’s Department of Health accused the CDC of combining many days of new cases together erroneously when the CDC released record high coronavirus numbers for Florida this past Sunday, claiming the genuine number should have been 15,319 instead of the 28,317 that the CDC stated.
The daily case counts for Florida currently posted on the CDC COVID Tracker are incorrect. The current listing states 28,317.
The accurate data are as follows:
Friday, August 6: 21,500
Saturday August 7: 19,567
Sunday, August 8: 15,319
The 3 day average: 18,795

The CDC revised its figure to 19,584 on Tuesday, saying it was in talks with Florida officials to ensure any discrepancies were remedied.
The back and forth over figures come as the Biden administration sides with the Broward Country Superintendent and School Board who claims they will defy Governor DeSantis’ executive order which gives parents the right to determine whether or not their children wear masks in schools.
Yahoo News reported that Dr. Shamarial Roberson, Florida’s deputy secretary for health, told National Review that the CDC has acknowledged and committed to remedying its error.
“Accurate data was provided to the CDC, but the incorrect number for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday was displayed on the website,” said Roberson. She also says that the CDC was made aware of their mistake by Florida officials as early as Monday night.
As of 3 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon, the incorrect numbers remained up on the CDC’s website. Roberson has been told that the CDC plans to make corrections at some point on Tuesday.
Yes, I’m sure it was just a random “accident” this happenned.
Under the new order, those who defy the policy will be fined and salaries of superintendents and school board members may be withheld. Biden, however, said he would consider providing financial assistance to anyone that goes against DeSantis if he is unable to find legal ways to override the executive order.
