MSNBC’s Morning Joe co-host Joe Scarborough stunned many on Wednesday when he said Donald Trump made some “really good choices” on the coronavirus.
During a segment on the show, Scarborough also slammed the European Union for not making some good choices and the Brits are still dealing with major surges in positive COVID cases.

MIKA: And Scott Gottlieb was saying yesterday that we’re going to have enough vaccines for the world, that we’re producing them quickly. I also heard yesterday, Joe Biden say something that we’ve been talking about for a couple of weeks here, which is, hey, Republicans, you have a reason to embrace this. It was a Republican administration that made the right bets. Did the things right that the EU did wrong. There’s a place to go.
SCARBOROUGH: “There’s a reason why. And so I think it’s great that the White House is saying, your guy, Donald Trump, and the administration made some really smart bets. And they did. They did a lot of things wrong. Yes, yes, yes, everybody take a deep breath, get a bag, breathe into it. It’s going to be okay. You’re not going to pass out. You’re not going to pass out, okay? It’s going to be all right? He made some really good choices. The EU did not. And that’s why Joe Biden was in a position and great with logistics to do something that Donald Trump didn’t do. This is something we can celebrate. Republicans have a reason to get a shot for their man, if that’s how they think. I would personal do it for the health of my family. But if people are that screwed up that they have to identify with a politician for their health care choices —“
MIKA: I wouldn’t even call him a politician. A cult leader. My God. Okay.
SCARBOROUGH: Please. Your honor. Okay. Alex? Alex? Can you please? We all know it’s true. I want to be home. With me? 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for the past year.
Last week, Donald Trump told Dan Bonginothat he has “very little doubt” the COVID-19 virus originated from a virology lab in Wuhan, China, touting vindication for his theory once dismissed by mainstream outlets and medical experts as a conspiracy.
“It came from the lab,” Trump told The Dan Bongino Show. “I have very little doubt it came from the lab.”
.”You warned us and these idiots in the media ignored it,” Bongino said.
“Now everybody is agreeing that I was right when I very early on called Wuhan as the source of COVID-19, sometimes referred to as the China Virus,” Trump said.
“Take a look at the fact that I closed the country to China very early at the end of January and Dr. Fauci – I’m not against him, we get along very well actually, but I usually did exactly what he said, the opposite, in other words…he said things that were just wrong. He didn’t want to close to China, he later admitted that I saved tens of thousands of lives by closing early,” Trump added.
