Because our corporate mainstream media and entertainment industry are both so corrupt politically, ‘the big lie’ that Republicans are racists, bigots, and anti-Semites has been allowed to metastasize throughout our culture and society.
Nothing could be further from the truth; in fact, save for a few factions of Americans who tend to identify on the conservative end of the political spectrum, the vast majority of Republicans are accommodating, welcoming, and decidedly anti-racist.
And this isn’t to say that all Democratic voters are racists, bigots, and anti-Semites — but they sure tend to let their political leaders get away with it.
Like “The Squad.”
During Israel’s 11-day battle against Iran-supported terrorist group Hamas — after Hamas started the conflict — Democratic Reps. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, and Rashida Tlaib of Michigan all took turns denouncing the only true democracy in the Middle East, the Jewish state. Whenever Israel is involved in any dispute with its Arab/Muslim neighbors, these three reflexively blame Israel, no matter what.
Their criticisms generally aren’t about policy, however; they are most often personal attacks on Jews and the Jewish existence, comparing its government to South African white “apartheid” and declaring the Israeli government to be a “terrorist” regime.
But finally, they are getting good pushback from a ranking Israeli official who, along with his family, neighbors, and countrymen, must constantly live under threat of attack by Muslim foes who do not believe Israel even has a right to exist and Palestinians who raise their children to hate Jews.
The Blaze notes:
Mark Regev, a senior adviser to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, responded to American critics on Sunday, defending Israel’s right to defend itself from attacks from Islamic terrorists in the Palestinian territories.
Ocasio-Cortez called Israel an “apartheid state,” Omar accused Israel of committing acts of terrorism, while Tlaib called Netanyahu the “Apartheid-in-chief” and accused him of “committing war crimes.”
Tlaib and Omar even said after Israel and Hamas agreed to a ceasefire that a ceasefire was not enough. Omar, instead, demanded “accountability for every war crime committed.” Meanwhile, Tlaib said the U.S. should stop sending aid to Israel if the Jewish nation doesn’t “uphold human rights,” claiming the ceasefire “will not alone achieve freedom, justice, and equality for all who live under Israel’s apartheid government.”
During an interview on “Fox News Sunday,” Regev verbally backhanded The Squad and noted that not just Jews, but all free people everywhere should oppose Hamas.
“I can tell you this morning before coming to this interview, I looked at the polling. And I saw that the overwhelming majority of the American people stand with Israel, support Israel, are favorable toward Israel,” Regev said. “A majority of people who identify as Democrats also support Israel or favor Israel.”
“People need to understand — Hamas is not just Israel’s enemy. Hamas is the enemy of everyone who wants to seek peace and reconciliation in our part of the world. There were brutal jihadist terrorist group,” Regev noted further. “No one should make excuses for them.”
And no U.S. lawmakers do make excuses for Hamas — except those who are aligned with them ideologically, of course.
