Judging on a scale of 1 to 10 whether former Secretary of State John Kerry has committed egregious acts against the national security interests of the United States, we’d have to give him a 12. Maybe a 13.
For his entire adult life, Kerry has proven he is more than willing to through the US of A under the big globalist bus in order to pursue his own selfish political agenda, beginning with the phony “Winter Soldier” allegations of widespread murder and abuse of Vietnamese civilians by U.S. troops during the war there up to his current outsized support for Iran, the Middle East’s biggest sponsor of terrorism.
In recent days you may have heard that Kerry the Mouth informed Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif that Israeli had conducted hundreds of strikes against his country’s military forces and assets inside Syria.
No big deal, Kerry would later claim, because he didn’t tell Zarif something Zarif and the Iranian government didn’t already know.
Except that he did.
The Washington Free Beacon reports:
Leaked audiotape of Iranian foreign minister Javad Zarif indicates he had no knowledge of covert Israeli military strikes before former secretary of state John Kerry provided him with the information, new details that contradict the State Department’s recent defense of Kerry.
These details are likely to further fuel calls from leading Republicans for Kerry’s firing or resignation. The New York Times reported that Zarif said on the tape that Kerry told him Israel launched 200 airstrikes against Iranian interests in Syria. The Times did not provide further details on that issue. But an independent translation of the audiotape commissioned by the Washington Free Beacon shows that Zarif went on to clarify that he had no prior knowledge of these Israeli strikes before Kerry told him.
Kerry told me that Israel had launched 200 airstrikes against you [Iran],” said Zarif. “You didn’t know?” his interviewer asked. “No, no,” he replied.
The additional details of this grotesque violation of national security — not to mention the security of Israel, our most important ally in the region — provide direct contradiction to claims by the swampy State Department that what Kerry told Zarif was a matter of public record and not at all sensitive.
“If you go back and look at press reporting from the time, this certainly was not secret, and governments that were involved were speaking to this publicly on the record,” State Department spokesman Ned Price told reporters Monday during a briefing.
On Tuesday, current Secretary of State Antony Blinken would say that the strikes “were all reported in the press at the time, so it is utter nonsense.” He also accused Republicans of attempting to “play politics with this.”
Turns out that the swampy State Department is actually being dishonest. Surprise.
The revelation that Zarif didn’t know about any of the ‘well-publicized’ strikes is only ramping up GOP calls for Biden to dump his Benedict Arnold ‘climate czar.’
“If this tape is verified, it would signal catastrophic and disqualifying recklessness by Envoy Kerry to Foreign Minister Zarif that endangered the safety of Americans and our allies,” Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, said earlier this week.
WWBD: What Will Biden Do?
We think we know the answer to that question.
